Video data processing circuits and systems comprising programmable blocks or components

A video data processing system, comprising:

• a first circuit configured to receive input data at a common input;
• a second circuit configured to receive the input data at the common input;
• a third circuit configured to receive data from the first circuit and the second circuit and to provide output data at a common output;
• and
• a fourth circuit configured to receive the data from the first circuit and the second circuit configured and to provide the output data at the common output,
• wherein at least one of the first circuit, the second circuit, the third circuit, and the fourth circuits includes:
• a first functional block,
• a second functional block coupled to the first functional block,
• a third functional block coupled to the first functional block and the second functional block, and
• a fourth functional block coupled to the first functional block and the second functional block,
• wherein a programmable block including at least one of the first functional block through the fourth functional block is programmable by a specific software that when executed causes the programmable block to carry out a particular one of a plurality of functions.
