Abstract
The present invention provides a method of treating glaucoma or ocular hypertension which comprises applying to the eye of a person in need thereof an amount sufficient to treat glaucoma or ocular hypertension of a compound of formula I wherein Y, Q, Z, R, R1 and R2 are as defined in the specification. The present invention further comprises pharmaceutical compositions, e.g. ophthalmic compositions, including said compound of formula I.

A compound of formula IV or tautomers thereof

- a dotted line represents the presence or absence of a double bond;
- the wavy line represents a direct bond;
- wherein Z is C or N;
- R is selected from the group consisting of H, halogen and C1-5 alkyl;
- R1 is selected from the group consisting of H and halogen;
- R2 is independently selected from the group consisting of H, C1-5 alkyl, halogen, and OC1-5 alkyl;
- R3 is selected from the group consisting of H, hydroxyl, and C1-5 alkyl;
- R4, is selected from the group consisting of H, C2-5 alkenyl, and C1-5 alkyl;
- and R5, R6, R7, R8, R9, R10, R11, and R12 are independently selected from the group consisting of H, and C1-5 alkyl.
