Claims26
A compound of formula (I):
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein each —HN-A-CO2H is individually an amino acid, wherein the amino acid is serine (Ser), threonine (Thr), valine (Val), leucine (Leu), isoleucine (ile), cysteine (CySH), cystine (CyS-SCy), phenylalanine (Phe), tyrosine (Tyr), proline (Pro), hydroxyproline, tryptophan (Trp), aspartic acid (Asp), glutamic acid, histidine (His), lysine (Lys), or arginine (Arg).
A pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective copper-sequestering amount of a compound of formula (I):
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, in combination with a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle, wherein each —HN-A-CO2H is individually an amino acid, wherein the amino acid is serine (Ser), threonine (Thr), valine (Val), leucine (Leu), isoleucine (Ile), cysteine (CySH), cystine (CyS-SCy), phenylalanine (Phe), tyrosine (Tyr), proline (Pro), hydroxyproline, tryptophan (Trp), aspartic acid (Asp), glutamic acid, histidine (His), lysine (Lys), or arginine (Arg).
