Abstract
The present invention provides a resin composition and a resin molded article capable of designing to make specific properties, in particular, fuel barrier properties, consistent with impact resistance. The resin composition includes a mixture of a thermoplastic resin with fibers having lengths of from 4 to 20 mm. The fibers have melting points higher than a melting point of the thermoplastic resin or are infusible.

A resin molded article comprising a matrix of a thermoplastic resin having dispersed therein organic fibers having lengths of from 4 to 20 mm, wherein
- said organic fibers are one of fibers having melting points higher than a melting point of said thermoplastic resin,
- said resin molded article is a fuel system part that is to be exposed to a fuel,
- said thermoplastic resin is a co-POM resin, which is a kind of polyacetal resin, and
- said organic fibers are a polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
