Abstract
A method for determining potential for body odor and a method for determining the effectiveness of a deodorant carried out by detecting a substance represented by the following formula (1) or a derivative thereof: wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R2 is an alkyl group containing 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and R3 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group.

A method for determining the effectiveness of a deodorant comprising:
- quantitatively measuring a substance represented by the following formula (1):
- wherein R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R2 is an alkyl group containing 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and R3 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group.
A method for determining the effectiveness of a deodorant comprising:
- quantitatively measuring a substance comprising formula (1) or a derivative thereof:
- wherein
- R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group,
- R2 is an alkyl group containing 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and
- R3 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group.
