A black ink composition comprising a colorant represented by Formula 1 below and a colorant represented by Formula 2 below:
- wherein R1 represents either a halogen atom, H, SO3M or COOM, R2 and R3 each independently represent H, SO3M or COOM, and M represents Li or Na, with the proviso that, a structure in which both R2 and R3 are H is excluded therefrom;
- A1-N═N-A2-N═N-A3 FORMULA 2
- wherein A1 is a substituent represented by Formula 3 or Formula 4 below, A2 is a substituent represented by Formula 5 or Formula 6 below, and A3 is a substituent represented by Formula 7 below;
- wherein M represents Li or Na;
- wherein M represents Li or Na;
- wherein M represents Li or Na.
