Torque transmission apparatus and case structure

A case structure, comprising:

• a case main body;
• a case cover, said case main body and said case cover including connection portions, one of the connection portions being disposed at an end of the case main body and an other of the connection portions being disposed at an end of the case cover, the connection portions having contact faces that come in contact with each other in an axial direction, said case cover being mounted to said case main body by said connection portions;
• a first torque transmission mechanism being received in a case main body side;
• a second torque transmission mechanism being received in a case cover side;
• a rotating member rotationally supported and transmitting torque between the first and second torque transmission mechanisms;
• a partition wall sectioning between the case main body and the case cover, said partition wall having a surface correspondingly positioned in the case cover side with a position of the contact faces in the axial direction;
• a support portion defined by a leading portion of the partition wall protruding outward from a remainder of the partition wall to extend inward of the case cover, said support portion rotationally supporting the rotating member;
• and
• the case cover, the support portion and the partition wall in an outer peripheral side of the support portion collectively defining an internal space opening to the case cover side.

A case structure, comprising:

• a case main body and a case cover attached to the case main body;
• a first torque transmission mechanism being received in a case main body side;
• a second torque transmission mechanism being received in a case cover side;
• a rotating member rotationally supported and transmitting torque between the first and second torque transmission mechanisms;
• a partition wall sectioning between the case main body and the case cover;
• a support portion continuously formed on an inner peripheral side of the partition wall and rotationally supporting the rotating member through a pair of bearings;
• and
• a seal member disposed between the support portion and the rotating member and between the bearings so that an interior space of the case main body and an other interior space of the case cover are separated by the partition wall, the support portion, the rotating member and the seal member to receive different lubricants in said interior space and said other interior space.
