Abstract
A photothermographic imaging material containing a support having thereon: (i) a photosensitive layer containing photosensitive silver halide grains, light-insensitive organic silver salt grains, a binder, and a reducing agent for silver ions; and (ii) one or more non-photosensitive layers, wherein a powder compound which is preliminarily dried at a lower temperature than a temperature used for thermal development is incorporated in the photosensitive layer or in the non-photosensitive layer.
Claims6
A photothermographic imaging material comprising a support having thereon:
- (i) a photosensitive layer containing photosensitive silver halide grains, light-insensitive organic silver salt grains, a binder, and a reducing agent for silver ions;
- and
- (ii) one or more non-photosensitive layers,
- wherein:
- one of the non-photosensitive layers is a protective layer containing:
- (a) a cross-linking agent;
- (b) a polymer having a vinyl alcohol repeating unit and having a saponification degree of not more than 75%;
- and
- (c) an acid group trapping agent capable of trapping a volatile compound during thermal development;
- said protective layer and said photosensitive layer are positioned on the same side of said support;
- and
- said protective layer is positioned farther from said support than said photosensitive layer.
