Abstract
A method, apparatus and programmed computer system provides the ability to process image data as picture screen elements having color components. A three-dimensional space is generated that represents a color spectrum containing the color conponents. A plurality of three-dimensional space transformation matrices are initiated and concatenated to initiate a single three-dimensional space transformation matrix. The plurality of three-dimensional space transformation matrices are populated in reply to user input data. The image data is adjusted by processing each of the color components with the single three-dimensional space transformation matrix.
Claims28
A method of processing image data comprising storage means, processing means and display means, wherein said storage means is configured to store image data as picture screen elements having colour components and said processing means is configured to perform the steps of:
- generating a three-dimensional space representing a colour spectrum containing said colour components;
- initiating a plurality of three-dimensional space forward transformation matrices and at least one backward transformation matrix;
- concatenating said three-dimensional space transformation matrices to initiate a single three-dimensional space transformation matrix;
- populating said plurality of three-dimensional space transformation matrices in reply to user input data;
- and
- adjusting said image data by means of processing each of said colour components with said single three-dimensional space transformation matrix, wherein said backward transformation matrix omits the last forward transformation matrix applied.
Apparatus for processing image data comprising storage means, processing means and display means, wherein said storage means is configured to store image data as picture screen elements having colour components and said processing means is configured to perform the steps of:
- generating a three-dimensional space representing a colour spectrum containing said colour components;
- initiating a plurality of three-dimensional space forward transformation matrices and at least one backward transformation matrix;
- concatenating said three-dimensional space transformation matrices to initiate a single three-dimensional space transformation matrix;
- populating said plurality of three-dimensional space transformation matrices in reply to user input data;
- and
- adjusting said image data by means of processing each of said colour components with said single three-dimensional space transformation matrix, wherein said backward transformation matrix omits the last forward transformation matrix applied.
A computer system programmed to process image data, including storage means, processing means and display means, wherein said storage means is configured to store image data as picture screen elements having colour components and said processing means is programmed to perform the processing steps of:
- generating a three-dimensional space representing a colour spectrum containing said colour components;
- initiating a plurality of three-dimensional space forward transformation matrices and at least one backward transformation matrix;
- concatenating said three-dimensional space transformation matrices to initiate a single three-dimensional space transformation matrix;
- populating said plurality of three-dimensional space transformation matrices in reply to user input data;
- and
- adjusting said image data by means of processing each of said colour components with said single three-dimensional space transformation matrix, wherein said backward transformation matrix omits the last forward transformation matrix applied.
A computer readable medium having computer readable instructions executable by a computer, such that said computer performs the steps of:
- storing image data as picture screen elements having colour components;
- generating a three-dimensional space representing a colour spectrum containing said colour components;
- initiating a plurality of three-dimensional space forward transformation matrices and at least one backward transformation matrix;
- concatenating said three-dimensional space transformation matrices to initiate a single three-dimensional space transformation matrix;
- populating said plurality of three-dimensional space transformation matrices in reply to user input data;
- and
- adjusting said image data by means of processing each of said colour components with said single three-dimensional space transformation matrix, wherein said backward transformation matrix omits the last forward transformation matrix applied.
