Epoxidized glyceride acetates are made by a process which comprises reacting an epoxy fatty acid ester and triacetin.

A process for the production of an epoxidized glyceride acetate which comprises reacting an epoxy fatty acid ester and triacetin.
A process for the production of a product comprising a major amount of an epoxidized diglyceride acetate which comprises reacting an epoxy fatty acid ester and triacetin wherein the molar ratios of epoxy fatty acid esters to triacetin is from 1:2 to 2:1.
