FMOD transceivers including continuous and burst operated TDMA, FDMA, spread spectrum CDMA, WCDMA, and CSMA

A structure comprising:

• an input port for receiving an input signal;
• a circuit having an input coupled to said input port and serving to process said input signal by splitting said input signal into baseband signals;
• and
• a baseband signal processing circuit for receiving said baseband signals and providing cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase baseband signals to a transmitter.

In a signal transmitter system, a signal processing circuit comprising:

• a circuit having an input port for receiving at least one input signal from a plurality of input signal sources and processing said at least one input signal by converting said at least one input signal into at least one baseband signal;
• and
• a baseband signal processing circuit receiving said at least one baseband signal and generating cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase baseband signals in response to said receipt;
• said cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature-phase baseband signals being communicated to a frequency-up converter circuit prior to amplification and transmission by said transmitter system.

A structure comprising:

• an input port for receiving an input signal;
• a circuit having an input coupled to said input port and serving to process said input signal by converting said input signal into substantially equal baseband signals;
• and
• a baseband signal processing circuit for receiving said baseband signals and providing cross-correlated in-phase and quadrature baseband signals.

An apparatus comprising:

• an input port to receive at least one input signal;
• a circuit coupled to the input port, wherein the circuit is adapted to provide an in-phase signal and quadrature-phase signal, the in-phase signal and the quadrature signal being inter-dependent upon each other;
• and
• a quadrature modulation unit adapted to receive the in-phase signal and the quadrature-phase signal.

A method comprising:

• receiving an input signal;
• generating a first signal and a second signal from the input signal, the first signal and the second signal being inter-dependent upon each other;
• and
• providing the first signal and the second signal to a quadrature modulation unit.
