Abstract
The present invention balances power consumption reduction and a cooling in a vehicle air-conditioning system having a compressor selectively driven by a vehicle engine or a motor while the compressor is driven by the motor. At least one of a capacity of a blower and a capacity of a compressor arranged in a refrigeration cycle R while the compressor being driven by a motor is reduced in comparison to the capacity of the blower and the capacity of the compressor while the compressor being driven by a vehicle engine. Furthermore, while a cooling heat load of an evaporator is greater than a predetermined value, the capacity of the compressor is first reduced prior to reducing the capacity of the blower.
Claims23
A vehicle air conditioning system having a compressor arranged in a refrigeration cycle, wherein a drive source of said compressor is selectively changed between a vehicle engine and a motor depending on a running condition of a vehicle, said vehicle air conditioning system comprising:
- a blower for blowing air toward an interior of said vehicle;
- and
- an evaporator arranged in said refrigeration cycle for cooling said air blown from said blower;
- wherein at least a blower capacity or a compressor capacity is reduced while said compressor is driven by said motor relative to a respective blower capacity or compressor capacity while said compressor is driven by said vehicle engine;
- and
- wherein said compressor capacity is first reduced prior to reducing said blower capacity while a cooling heat load of said evaporator is greater than a predetermined value.
A vehicle air conditioning system having a compressor arranged in a refrigeration cycle, wherein a drive source of said compressor is selectively changed between a vehicle engine and a motor depending on a running condition of a vehicle, said vehicle air conditioning system comprising:
- a blower for blowing air toward an interior of said vehicle;
- and
- an evaporator arranged in said refrigeration cycle for cooling said air blown from said blower;
- wherein at least a blower capacity or a compressor capacity is reduced while said compressor is driven by said motor relative to a respective blower capacity or compressor capacity while said compressor is driven by said vehicle engine;
- and
- wherein said blower capacity is first reduced prior to reducing said compressor capacity if a window glass of said vehicle is being fogged while said compressor is driven by said motor.
A vehicle air conditioning system having a compressor arranged in a refrigeration cycle, wherein a drive source of said compressor is selectively changed between a vehicle engine and a motor depending on a running condition of a vehicle, said vehicle air conditioning system comprising:
- means for gradually changing said compressor capacity;
- wherein a rate of gradual change of compressor capacity while said compressor is driven by said motor is greater than a rate of change of said compressor capacity when said compressor is driven by said vehicle engine.
A vehicle air conditioning system having a compressor arranged in a refrigeration cycle, wherein a drive source of said compressor is selectively changed between a vehicle engine and a motor depending on a running condition of a vehicle, said vehicle air conditioning system comprising:
- means for gradually changing a capacity of a blower for blowing air toward an interior of said vehicle, wherein a rate of gradual change of said blower capacity while said compressor is driven by said motor is increased relative to said rate of gradual change of said blower capacity while said compressor is driven by said vehicle engine.
A vehicle air conditioning system having a compressor arranged in a refrigeration cycle, wherein a drive source of said compressor is selectively changed between a vehicle engine and a motor depending on a running condition of a vehicle, said vehicle air conditioning system comprising:
- a blower for blowing air toward an interior of said vehicle;
- and
- an evaporator arranged in said refrigeration cycle for cooling said air blown from said blower;
- wherein at least a blower capacity or a compressor capacity is reduced while said compressor is driven by said motor relative to a respective blower capacity or compressor capacity while said compressor is driven by said vehicle engine;
- and
- wherein at least a degree of said reduction of said blower capacity and a degreee of said reduction of said compressor capacity is controlled based on an amount of remaining charge in a battery that provides power to said motor when said compressor is driven by said motor.
A vehicle air conditioning system according to clain 19, wherein an amount of change in said target value when said target value being adjusted to said higher temperature is increased as said amount of remaining charge in said battery decreases.
