Control apparatus for drive system composed of engine and transmission

A control apparatus for an internal combustion engine, comprising:

• a fuel injection timing controller configured to control a volume of fuel injected from a fuel injection valve having an injection port in a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine, and fuel injection timing,
• an intake valve for controlling a volume of air to be burnt in said combustion chamber;
• and
• an intake valve controller configured to control opening and closing timing of said intake valve so that the opening and closing timing of said intake valve is different between a low engine load si de and high engine load side.

A control apparatus for an internal combustion engine, comprising:

• a fuel injection timing controller configured to control a volume of fuel injected from a fuel injection valve having an injection port in a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine, and fuel injection timing,
• an intake valve for controlling a volume of air to be burnt in said combustion chamber;
• and
• an intake valve controller configured to control opening and closing timing of said intake valve so that when an engine load is lower than a predetermined value, the opening and closing timing of said intake valve is retarded.

A control apparatus for an internal combustion engine, comprising:

• a fuel injection timing controller configured to control a volume of fuel injected from a fuel injection valve having an injection port in a combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine, and fuel injection timing,
• an intake valve for controlling a volume of air to be burnt in said combustion chamber;
• and
• an intake valve controller configured to control opening and closing timing of said intake valve so that said intake valve is normally opened at a time of initiating a suction stroke, and closed at a time of initiating a compression stroke, but when an engine load is lower than a predetermined value, said intake valve is opened substantially at a middle of the suction of the stroke and closed substantially at a middle of the compression stroke.
