Pigments and extender pigments coated with a mixture comprising at least N-acyl forms of naturally existing 14 amino acids, in particular, pigments and extender pigments processed with a mixture comprising at least N-acyl forms of 14 amino acids, obtainable from or obtained on hydrolysis of any one of animal proteins, such as silk and pearl, and plant proteins, such as wheat and soybeans, which can be mixed into cosmetics, and also cosmetics comprising the coated pigments and extender pigments are provided. Such N-acyl form therein may be in the salt form. The obtained pigments and extender pigments coated therewith in the present invention has extremely smooth tactile feeling, that is an optimum affinity to skin and/or hair (biocompatibility) when used in cosmetics, excellent application feeling on skin and/or hair without coarse feeling, and hence suitable for the powders in cosmetics to be combined.
Coated pigments and extender pigments usable in cosmetics comprising pigments and extender pigments, said pigments and extender pigments being coated with a mixture comprising at least N-acyl forms of 14 amino acids specified by glycine, L-alanine, L-valine, L-leucine, L-isoleucine, L-phenylalanine, L-proline, L-threonine, L-serine, L-arginine, L-histidine, L-lysine, L-aspartic acid and L-glutamic acid, wherein said N-acyl form may be in the salt form.
