Abstract
E6-BP polypeptide, nucleic acids encoding E6-BP polypeptides, and uses thereof.
Claims19
A pharmaceutical preparation comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and a polypeptide selected from the group consisting of:
- an E6-BPSD-8 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:2, an E6-BPSD-12 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:3, an E6-BPSD-16 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:4, an E6-BPSD-22 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:5, an E6-BPSD-28 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:6, and an E6-BPSD−32 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high, stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:7.
A method of treating an animal having a papilloma viral infection comprising administering a therapeutically effective dose of a polypeptide selected from the group consisting of:
- an E6-BPSD-8 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:2, an E6-BPSD-12 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:3, an E6-BPSD-16 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:4, an E6-BPSD-22 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:5, an E6-BPSD-28 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:6, and an E6-BPSD-32 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:7 wherein the polypeptide inhibits interaction between a viral E6 protein and an E6-BP protein selected from a cellular E6-BP.
An isolated E6-BP polypeptide or fragment thereof which binds E6 protein, wherein the E6-BP polypeptide is selected from the group consisting of:
- an E6-BPSD-8 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:2, an E6-BPSD-12 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:3, an E6-BPSD-16 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:4, an E6-BPSD-22 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:5, an E6-BPSD-28 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:6, and an E6-BPSD-32 polypeptide encoded by a nucleic acid sequence which hybridizes under high stringency conditions to the nucleic acid of SEQ ID NO:7.
