Abstract
A method and composition has been discovered for repelling ants by treating objects or areas with effective amounts of compositions that includes at least one C3-C10 dicarboxylic acid diester and a carrier.
Claims3
A method for repelling ants from an object or an area comprising treating the object or area with an ant repelling composition comprising:
- (a) an ant repellent agent selected from the group consisting of dimethyl succinate, diethyl adipate, diethyl malonate, and mixtures thereof;
- and
- (b) a carrier material.
