Abstract
Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a silver halide emulsion, the method comprising the step of ultrafiltrating and electrodialyzing a silver halide emulsion containing silver halide grains and gelatin having an average molecular weight of 500 to 70,000, by means of an ultrafiltration unit having an ultrafiltration membrane, whereby the emulsion is desalted and concentrated.
Claims14
A method of manufacturing a silver halide emulsion comprising:
- ultrafiltrating a silver halide emulsion containing silver halide grains and gelatin having an average molecular weight of 500 to 70,000, by means of an ultrafiltration unit having an ultrafiltration membrane, whereby the emulsion is desalted and concentrated;
- and
- electrodialyzing the silver halide emulsion containing silver halide grains and gelatin having an average molecular weight of 500 to 70,000.
