Abstract
A high-resistance rare earth magnet having a metal structure in which a rare earth magnet phase is dispersed throughout a compound phase comprising at least one compound selected from the group consisting of fluorides and oxides of Li, Na, Mg, Ca, Ba and Sr. The fluorides and oxides are effective for increasing the electrical resistance of a rare earth magnet to a level sufficient for practical use while maintaining high magnetic properties of the magnet.
Claims21
A high-resistance rare earth magnet comprising an R--Fe--B-based magnet phase wherein R is at least one rare earth element including Y and a compound phase comprising at least one compound selected from the group consisting of fluorides of Li, Na, Mg, Ca, Ba and Sr, said R--Fe--B-based magnet phase being dispersed throughout said compound phase.
A high-resistance rare earth magnet comprising an R--Co-based magnet phase wherein R is at least one rare earth element including Y, and a compound phase comprising at least one compound selected from the group consisting of fluorides and oxides of Li, Na, Mg, Ca, Ba and Sr, said R--Co-based magnet phase being dispersed throughout said compound phase.
