Abstract
Disclosed is a process for making a lithographic printing plate which utilizes the silver complex diffusion transfer process by subjecting the lithographic printing plate to exposure and then development processing and optionally stabilizing processing, which comprises performing the development processing/the stabilizing processing by using a developing solution/a stabilizing solution each containing a monothioether compound containing succinic acid, a salt thereof or a derivative thereof.
Claims27
In a process for making a lithographic printing plate utilizing the silver complex diffusion transfer process by subjecting the lithographic printing plate, including a support, a silver halide emulsion layer and a physical development nuclei layer, to exposure and then development processing, the improvement comprising:
- performing the development processing by using a developing solution containing a monothioether compound containing succinic acid, a salt thereof or a succinic acid derivative selected from the group consisting of an ester in which a hydrogen atom of a carboxy group is substituted, an amide in which a hydroxyl group of a carboxy group is substituted, and an acid anhydride.
