The invention provides a liquid composition containing a metallic coordination compound in a solvent, an ink set in which the liquid composition is combined with one or more inks, a method of forming an image, and an image-forming apparatus applying them.

A liquid composition comprising a metallic coordination compound which comprises a metallic ion and a ligand in a solvent, and a polymer selected from the group consisting of hydrochloric acid salt of polyallylamine, hydrochloric acid salt of polyaminesulfone, hydrochloric acid salt of polyvinyl amine, acetic acid salt of chitosan, polyacrylamide, polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, vinyl pyrrolidone-alkylamino acrylate quaternary salt copolymer, and acrylamide-aminomethylacrylamide quaternary salt copolymer.
