Abstract
The present invention provides methods and therapeutic compositions for treatment of mammalian tumors wherein the cells of such tumor express both epidermal growth factor receptor and p185neu, p185c-neu or a homologue of p185neu or p185c-neu and the epidermal growth factor. At least one antibody specific for epidermal growth factor receptor, monoclonal antibody 425, and at least one antibody specific for p185neu, p185c-neu or a homologue of p185neu or p185c-neu, monoclonal antibody 7.16.4, are administered to the mammal in an amount effective to reduce tumor growth.
Claims6
A method of treating mammalian tumors wherein the cells of such tumor express both 1) epidermal growth factor receptor and 2) p185neu, p185c-neu or a homologue of p185neu or p185c-neu, said method comprising
- administering to a mammal having such a tumor at least one antibody specific for epidermal growth factor receptor and at least one antibody specific for p185neu, p185c-neu or a homologue of p185neu or p185c-neu or a homologue in an amount effective to reduce tumor growth, wherein said antibody specific for epidermal growth factor receptor is Mab425 and said antibody specific for p185neu, p185c-neu or a homologue of p185neu or p185c-neu is Mab 7.16.4.
A therapeutic composition for treatment of a mammalian cancer tumor having cells which express both epidermal growth factor receptor and p185neu, p185c-neu or a homologue of p185neu or p185c-neu comprising
- at least one antibody specific for p185neu, p185c-neu or a homologue of p185neu or p185c-neu;
- at least one antibody specific for epidermal growth factor receptor;
- and
- a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluent, wherein said antibody specific for epidermal growth factor receptor is Mab425 and said antibody specific for p185neu, p185c-neu or a homologue of p185neu or p185c-neu is Mab 7.16.4.
