Abstract
The present invention provides a process for producing 2-cyanoacrylic acid, characterized by subjecting a 2-cyanoacrylate and an organic acid to transesterification reaction. The 2-cyanoacrylic acid obtained by the process of the present invention is useful as a starting material for the preparation of polyfunctional 2-cyanoacrylates.

A process for producing a 2-cyanoacrylic acid which comprises subjecting a 2-cyanoacrylate and an organic acid to a transesterification reaction at a temperature of 40.degree.-90.degree. C.
A process for producing 2-cyanoacrylic acid which comprises subjecting a 2-cyanoacrylate to an acidolysis reaction with an organic acid at a temperature of 10.degree.-90.degree. C.
