Abstract
The present invention provides methods of preventing emesis and treating sexual dysfunction in mammals utilizing certain tetrahydrobenzcd!indoles. The invention further provides pharmaceutical formulations suitable for use in such methods.
Claims9
A method of preventing emesis in mammals comprising administering to a mammal susceptible to or suffering from emesis an effective amount of a compound of the formula ##STR6## wherein:
- R.sup.1 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or allyl;
- R.sup.2 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl or allyl;
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof.
