Abstract
Aldehydes with a higher number of carbon atoms and high selection are prepared by reacting olefins, in particular from petrochemical refinery products, by a hydroformylation with aldol condensation using a mixed catalyst of rhodium-carbonyl-phosphines and Mannich catalyst.
Claims19
A process for preparing aldehydes from olefins by a hydroformylation and an aldol condensation, wherein the olefins are reacted using a hydroformylation catalyst based on rhodium or cobalt with simultaneous use of a Mannich catalyst comprising secondary amines and carboxylic acids to form aldehydes.
A mixture of Mannich catalyst and rhodium hydroformylation catalyst.
