An iron assembly including:

• a mounting base;
• an electric iron including a primary reservoir and an electric power supply cord, said iron being removably mounted on said base;
• and
• a water cassette functioning as an auxiliary reservoir removably mounted on said base, said cassette including an outer wall defining the water reservoir, said wall having a vertically extending surface having a plurality of horizontally extending ribs for providing structural rigidity to said wall, said ribs being concavely-shaped to provide a cord wrap surface for said power supply cord.
