Abstract
A fluid filtration material made of a porous substrate, e.g. a membrane or a fabric, that is coated with a fluorinated copolymer that contains recurring vinyl alcohol units that have been reacted with a monoepoxide to aid in preventing loss of hydrophilicity in the coated material.
Claims8
A hydrophilic, fluid permeable composition comprising a substrate having continuous pores through it in which at least a portion of the interior of the substrate is coated with a copolymer of a fluorinated ethylenically unsaturated monomer and vinyl alcohol, wherein the vinyl alcohol units have been reacted with a monofunctional epoxide.
