Abstract
Acrylic polymers having a minimum molecular weight of about 500,000, and preferably of about 1,500,000, are blended at levels of from 1 to 25% with thermoplastic resins to improve the melt rheology of the thermoplastic resins and facilitate blow molding, thermoforming, extrusion and similar processes.
Claims8
A blow-molded article formed from a polymer blend which comprises a thermoplastic engineering resin and blended therewith from about 1 to about 25%, based on the total weight of the blend, of a methacrylic ester polymer of units of one or more copolymerizable vinyl monomers, wherein at least 70% by weight of the units have the formula.
The blow-molded article of claim 42 wherein the article is formed with an internal foamed structure.
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
