Abstract
This application discloses the use of esters of benzoic acid having from about 8 to about 12 carbon atoms in the ester moiety as coalescent agents for paint compositions and for use in the preparation of plastisols.

A paint composition comprising a mixture of latex, pigment and adjuvents, which includes a coalescing amount of isodecyl benzoate, said composition being characterized by stability as determined by freeze thaw test ASTM D-2243-82.
