Abstract
A silver halide photographic material that contains at least one compound represented by the general formula (2) shown below and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of the compounds represented by the general formulas (3) and (4) shown below: ##STR1## The constituents in the above formulas are clearly defined in the instant specification and claims.
Claims11
A silver halide photographic material that contains at least one compound represented by the general formula (2 ) shown below and at least one compound selected from the group consisting of the compounds represented by the general formulas (3) and (4) shown below:
- ##STR46## where Z.sup.1 represents the non-metallic atomic group necessary to form an optionally substituted benzothiazole, benzoxazole, naphthothiazole or naphthoxazole nucleus;
- Z.sup.2 represents the non-metallic atomic group necessary to form an optionally substituted benzothiazole nucleus;
- R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each independently represents an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, a substituted alkyl group or anryl group;
- X.sup..crclbar. is an anion;
- n is 1 or 2 and when an intramolecular salt is formed, n is 1;
- ##STR47## where R.sup.3 represents a hydrogen atom, a straight-chained or branched alkyl group, a cyclic alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aralkyl group, an aryl group, a heterocyclic group, an alkylamido group, an arylamido group, an alkylthioamido group, an arylthioamido group, an alkylsulfamido group or an arylsulfamido group;
- R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group, a cyclic alkyl group, an aryl group, a cyano group, an alkylthio group, an arylthio group, an alkylsulfoxide group, an alkylsulfonyl group, or a heterocyclic group;
- ##STR48## where R.sup.6 1 s a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group or a hydroxymethyl group;
- and R.sup.7 is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group.
Dependencies are inferred from the claim text.
