Silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material containing novel cyan dye forming coupler

A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material containing a cyan dye forming coupler represented by formula (I):

• ##STR16## wherein R.sub.1 represents --CONR.sub.3 R.sub.4, --NHCOR.sub.3, --NHCOOR.sub.5, --NHSO.sub.2 R.sub.5, --NHCONR.sub.3 R.sub.4 or --NHSO.sub.2 NR.sub.3 R.sub.4, wherein R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 each represent a hydrogen atom or a straight or branched chain or cyclic substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, alkenyl, or alkynyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted monocyclic or condensed heterocyclic ring, and R.sub.5 represents a straight or branched chain or cyclic substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, alkenyl, or alkynyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group including a condensed ring, or a substituted or unsubstituted monocyclic or condensed heterocyclic ring;
• R.sub.2 represents a group capable of substituting for a hydrogen atom on the naphthol ring;
• m represents 0 or an integer of from 1 to 3;
• X represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom, or ##STR17## wherein R.sub.6 represents a hydrogen atom or a monovalent organic group;
• and Y represents a hydrogen atom or a group capable of being released in a coupling reaction with an oxidation product of an aromatic primary amine developing agent;
• when m is 2 or 3, the plural R.sub.2 groups can be the same or different, or together form a ring;
• or R.sub.2 and X, X and Y, or R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 together form a ring;
• or formula (I) represents a dimer or a higher polymer by bonding at R.sub.1, R.sub.2, X or Y, wherein the hydrogen atom of OH, SH or R.sub.6 N as --XH undergoes intramolecular hydrogen bond formation after the coupling reaction with the oxidation product of the aromatic primary amine developing agent and thus stabilizes the cyan dye images to heat and light.
