Abstract
A process for preparing anthraquinone is disclosed which comprises reacting 1,3-butadiene with oxygen in the presence of a catalytically effective amount of a catalyst comprising a mixed metal oxide containing aluminum, molybdenum and titanium values.

A process for preparing anthraquinone which comprises reacting 1,3-butadiene with an oxygen-containing material in the presence of a catalytically effective amount of a catalyst comprising a mixed metal oxide containing aluminum, molybdenum and titanium values.
