Electrical connector and method of making same

An electrical connector comprising two spaced contacts;

• an electrical cord having a pair of insulated stranded conductors;
• each of said contacts being mechanically and electrically connected to the bared end of a corresponding one of said conductors to form a pair of spaced connections;
• a first body of molded insulating material having a pair of spaced arms joined to a base;
• each of said arms surrounding a corresponding one of said connections;
• said first body having irregular outer surfaces with raised and depressed portions to minimize the possibility of any loose strand at said bared ends of the conductors being forced to said outer surfaces during molding of said first body;
• and a second body of molded insulating material surrounding said first body and extending between said arms to further insulate said connections.
