Abstract
This invention relates to a new class of organic chemical compounds. More particularly this invention is concerned with derivatives of isophosphinolinone. Compounds of this invention may be employed as active ingredients in herbicides and/or as intermediates in the preparation of other isophosphinolinone derivatives useful to reduce herbicidal injury to treated crop plants.
Claims2
A compound of the formula ##STR12## wherein X is independently selected from the group consisting of bromine, chlorine, iodine, fluorine, hydroxy, linear alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, linear alkoxy having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, nitro, cyano and CF.sub.3,
- n is an integer from 1 to 4,
- R.sub.1 is alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms,
- R.sub.2 is selected from the group consisting of alkenyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, haloalkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, ##STR13## wherein R.sub.3 is independently selected from the group consisting of linear alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, CF.sub.3, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine and linear alkoxy having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, nitro and wherein n.sub.1 is an integer from 1 to 5.
