Abstract
A novel magnet wire or other coated filament comprising an elongated filament with a surprisingly concentric and continuous coating superimposed thereupon. The coating may be applied to the desired thickness in a single pass.
Claims7
A magnet wire or other coated filament comprising:
- an elongated filament and an essentially concentric and continuous coating superimposed on said filament, said coating being chosen from the group of materials consisting of polyamides, polycarbonates, polysulfones, epoxys, polyether imides, polyether ether ketones and polyesters, said coating being applied to a desired thickness in a single pass, said thickness meeting the requirements of ANSI/NEMA Standards Publication No. MW1000-1977.
