Abstract
Process for the preparation of 2,3-Dihydro-4H-1,4-benzothiazines by cyclisation of suitable 2-(2-Hydroxyalkyl)-thioanilines under elimination of water in the presence of phosphorous acid.

A process for the production of 2,3-dihydro-4H-1,4-benzothiazines, characterised in that 2-(2-hydroxyalkyl)-thioanilines are cyclised using phosphorous acid with the release of water.
