Abstract
A process for electrolytically regenerating a used bleaching-fixing solution resulting from the processing of a color developed color photographic material with a bleaching-fixing solution containing an iron (III) chelate compound and a silver halide solvent, which comprises bubbling an oxygen-containing gas into an anode compartment containing said used bleaching-fixing solution while electrolyzing said used bleaching-fixing solution in an electrolytic cell.
Claims10
A process for electrolytically regenerating a used bleaching-fixing solution resulting from the processing of a color developed color photographic material with a bleaching-fixing solution containing an iron (III) chelate compound and a silver halide solvent in an electrolytic cell comprising anode and cathode compartments separated by a diaphragm wherein the anode is carbon and/or carbon fibers, the cathode potential is -0.40V to -0.55V, the anode potential is 0 to about 0.20V, said potentials being with reference to a standard calomel electrode, and the inter potential is 0.4 to 0.8V;
- which comprises bubbling an oxygen-containing gas into the anode compartment containing said used bleaching-fixing solution while electrolyzing said used bleaching-fixing solution and;
- recycling the regenerated solution to a bleach-fixing bath in an electrolytic cell.
