Abstract
A display device includes a substrate, an organic insulating layer disposed on the substrate, a light emitting element disposed on the organic insulating layer, and a connection electrode configured to cover the organic insulating layer in a plan view, and the light emitting element partially overlaps the organic insulating layer in the plan view, and the connection electrode electrically connects a side surface of a part of the light emitting element that does not overlap the organic insulating layer.
Claims20
A display device comprising:
- a substrate;
- an organic insulating layer disposed on the substrate;
- a light emitting element disposed on the organic insulating layer;
- and
- a connection electrode configured to cover the organic insulating layer in a plan view,
- wherein the light emitting element partially overlaps the organic insulating layer in the plan view,
- wherein a first part of the light emitting element does not overlap the organic insulating layer in the plan view, and
- wherein the connection electrode is electrically connected to a side surface of the first part of the light emitting element that does not overlap the organic insulating layer in the plan view.

A display device comprising:
- a substrate on which a first sub pixel, a second sub pixel, and a third sub pixel are disposed;
- a plurality of organic insulating layers disposed on the substrate in the first sub pixel, the second sub pixel, and the third sub pixel, respectively;
- a plurality of light emitting elements disposed on the plurality of organic insulating layers in the first sub pixel, the second sub pixel, and the third sub pixel, respectively;
- and
- a connection electrode electrically connecting the plurality of light emitting elements,
- wherein a first part of each of the plurality of light emitting elements does not overlap a corresponding one of the plurality of organic insulating layers in a plan view,
- wherein a lower surface of the first part of each of the plurality of light emitting elements is exposed by not overlapping the corresponding one of the plurality of organic insulating layers in the plan view, and
- wherein the connection electrode is in contact with the lower surface of the first part of each of the plurality of light emitting elements that is exposed by not overlapping the corresponding one of the plurality of organic insulating layers.
