Bidirectional thermal dissipation for enhanced system management

A liquid cooled chassis, comprising:

• a liquid cooling system to cool a heat generating component;
• and
• a thermal dissipator to dissipate heat in the liquid cooling system, the thermal dissipator comprising:
• a first set of radiators;
• a second set of radiators;
• and
• a set of manifolds adapted to:
• distribute a first portion of a hot fluid to the first set of radiators;
• distribute a second portion of the hot fluid to the second set of radiators;
• establish a first flow of the first portion of the hot fluid in the first set of radiators in a first direction;
• and
• establish a second flow of the second portion of the hot fluid in the second set of radiators in a second direction that is different from the first direction.

A rack system, comprising:

• a rack;
• and
• a data processing system to be housed in the rack, the data processing system comprising:
• a heat generating component;
• a liquid cooling system to cool the heat generating component;
• and
• a thermal dissipator to dissipate heat in the liquid cooling system, the thermal dissipator comprising:
• a first set of radiators;
• a second set of radiators;
• and
• a set of manifolds adapted to:
• distribute a first portion of a hot fluid to the first set of radiators;
• distribute a second portion of the hot fluid to the second set of radiators;
• establish a first flow of the first portion of the hot fluid in the first set of radiators in a first direction;
• and
• establish a second flow of the second portion of the hot fluid in the second set of radiators in a second direction that is different from the first direction.
