Abstract

Toolless locking member and electronic system comprising the locking member. An electronic system includes first and second substrates connected via a connector disposed therebetween. A locking member is configured to secure the first substrate to the second substrate. In some embodiments, the locking member includes a cover rotatable about a base, and a beam fixedly coupled to the cover at a selected location. The beam includes protrusions movable about the cover and configured to engage the first substrate. In some embodiments, the locking member includes a pawl rotatable about a positioner, and an elastic member coupling the pawl to the positioner. The positioner can engage the second substate. The pawl can engage the first substrate or a component disposed on the first substate, thereby securing the substrates together. Techniques described herein enables securing the substrates without the use of tools and can be compatible with configurations that include heat sinks.
