Multi-band wireless halo devices

A wireless halo device comprising:

• at least one computer readable non-transitory memory storing software instructions;
• a plurality of wireless interfaces wherein each wireless interface corresponds to a different wireless frequency band;
• and
• at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and the plurality of wireless interface, and that perform the following operations upon execution of the software instructions:
• instantiating a communication halo policy for the plurality of wireless interfaces in the at least one memory, the communication halo policy including:
• a peer device handshake protocol over at least some interfaces of the plurality of wireless interfaces;
• connection bandwidth criteria over the plurality of wireless interfaces;
• connection range criteria over the plurality of wireless interfaces;
• and
• transmission constraints over the plurality of wireless interfaces;
• establishing a connection with at least one peer device via the plurality of wireless interface based on the peer device handshake protocol and satisfying the bandwidth connection criteria and the range connection criteria;
• and
• exchanging at least one data packet over the connection via the plurality of wireless interfaces according to the transmission constraints.
