Abstract

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for transmitting a physical channel such as a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). A user equipment (UE) determines a mother sequence based on a network node and selects a sequence from a look up table based on an information message. For each transmission port, the user equipment generates a frequency domain sequence that satisfies a property of robustness to frequency selectivity based on the mother sequence, the selected sequence, and a phase shift that is independent of the information message. The user equipment then transmits the frequency domain sequence on each transmit port. The disclosed techniques can support transmission of a physical uplink control channel using port-specific sequence generation while maintaining robustness to frequency selective channel conditions.

Dependent claims

An apparatus for wireless communication, comprising:

one or more memories, individually or in combination, having instructions;
and
one or more processors, individually or in combination, configured to execute the instructions and cause the apparatus to:
determine a mother sequence based on a network node;
select a sequence from a look up table based on an information message;
generate, per transmission port, a frequency domain sequence that satisfies a property of robustness to frequency selectivity based on the mother sequence, the sequence selected from the look up table, and a phase shift that is independent of the information message;
and
transmit the frequency domain sequence on each transmit port.
