Abstract

An apparatus comprising configured to process, based on signals received from a network, a plurality of tables, wherein each table comprises one or more entries related to a selection of demodulation reference signal (DMRS) ports for a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH), process, based on signals received from the network, a DMRS type 2 configuration for the PUSCH, select an entry from one of the plurality of tables based on the DMRS configuration and generate, for transmission, the PUSCH comprising DMRS type 2 on the DMRS ports corresponding to the entry, wherein the DMRS ports are at least one of (i) legacy ports or (ii) enhanced ports.
