Beam training for wireless devices including mechanically displaceable antenna panels

A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:

• transmitting, to a network node, control information that indicates one or more parameters associated with a beam training procedure for multiple antenna panels of the UE that are mechanically displaceable relative to each other, wherein the one or more parameters are based at least in part on relative mechanical displacements between the multiple antenna panels during the beam training procedure;
• and
• performing the beam training procedure in accordance with the one or more parameters.

An apparatus for wireless communication, comprising:

• means for transmitting, to a network node, control information that indicates one or more parameters associated with a beam training procedure for multiple antenna panels of the apparatus that are mechanically displaceable relative to each other, wherein the one or more parameters are based at least in part on relative mechanical displacements between the multiple antenna panels during the beam training procedure;
• and
• means for performing the beam training procedure in accordance with the one or more parameters.
