Abstract

A 3-D EFuse with data poison circuit that includes a re-programmable persistent storage cell having an electronic fuse and an electronic anti-fuse, where the electronic fuse and the electronic anti-fuse set a resistance of the re-programmable fuse circuit to a first resistance, the electronic anti-fuse is programmable to change the resistance of the re-programmable fuse circuit from the first resistance to a second resistance, and the electronic fuse is programmable to change the resistance of the re-programmable fuse circuit from the second resistance to a third resistance. A sensor circuit may compare the resistance of the re-programmable persistent storage cell to a reference resistance. A controller may determine a state of the re-programmable persistent storage cell based on an output of the sensor circuit. The electronic anti-fuse and the electronic fuse may include regions of multiple metal layers of an IC device.
