Visual editor for specifying preferred representation of requested generative visual content

A method implemented by one or more processors, the method comprising:

• receiving, at a local computing device, a user request for generative visual content to be rendered at a display interface of the local computing device;
• selecting, based on the user request, an adjustable GUI element for rendering with a visual content editor interface at the display interface;
• generating, based on the user request, an intermediate representation of the generative visual content requested by a user;
• causing the visual content editor interface, the adjustable GUI element, and the intermediate representation of the generative visual content to be rendered at the display interface of the local computing device;
• receiving, at the local computing device, a visual editor input that corresponds to an interaction between the user and the adjustable GUI element of the visual content editor interface;
• and
• subsequent to receiving the user input:
• providing input data to a remote computing device for processing using one or more trained machine learning models,
• wherein the input data characterizes the visual editor input and the user request;
• receiving, from the remote computing device, generative visual content data that is generated by the remote computing device using the one or more trained machine learning models;
• and
• causing the display interface of the computing device to render the generative visual content based on the generative visual content data received from the remote computing device.

A method implemented by one or more processors, the method comprising:

• receiving a user input to a visual content editor interface for modifying an intermediate representation of generative visual content requested by a user;
• causing, based on the user input, a display interface to render a modified version of the intermediate representation of the generative visual content;
• providing, to a separate computing device, input data that characterizes the modified version of the intermediate representation of the generative visual content,
• wherein the separate computing device processes the input data using one or more trained machine learning models;
• and
• receiving, from the separate computing device, generative visual content data that characterizes the generative visual content that is different from the intermediate representation of the generative visual content.
