Generation of intent embeddings used for information recommendations

A non-transitory machine-readable medium having instructions stored therein, which when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform operations for managing data sources of a distributed system, the operations comprising:

• obtaining a request for information from an entity;
• identifying an intent embedding of the entity with respect to the request;
• processing the request using embeddings for the data sources and the intent embedding of the entity to obtain an information recommendation;
• and
• using the information recommendation to facilitate provisioning of desired computer implemented services.

A data processing system, comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory coupled to the processor to store instructions, which when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations managing data sources of a distributed system, the operations comprising:
• obtaining a request for information from an entity;
• identifying an intent embedding of the entity with respect to the request;
• processing the request using embeddings for the data sources and the intent embedding of the entity to obtain an information recommendation;
• and
• using the information recommendation to facilitate provisioning of desired computer implemented services.
