Edge device and method for sensor-assisted beamforming

A method comprising:

• controlling, by control circuitry of an edge device, a sensor to sense a surrounding area of the edge device in a first frequency band;
• detecting, by the control circuitry of the edge device, a first user in the surrounding area of the edge device;
• tracking, by the control circuitry, the detected first user in the surrounding area of the edge device;
• and
• controlling, by the control circuitry, an antenna array of the edge device to direct, concurrently with the sensing of the surrounding area, a first beam of radio-frequency (RF) signal in a second frequency band in a first direction of the tracked first user, wherein the first frequency band is different from the second frequency band.
