A method, system and apparatus for bistatic radar sensing in the presence of synchronization signals are disclosed. According to one aspect, a method in a radio receiver includes receiving a signal that includes a radar signal and a synchronization signal, the radar signal and the synchronization signal being distinguishable based at least in part on at least one of orthogonality of the radar signal and the synchronization signal and frequency separation of the radar signal and the synchronization signal. The process includes processing the received signal in a first branch to extract the synchronization signal from the received signal and in a second branch to extract the radar signal from the received signal based at least in part on the at least one of orthogonality and frequency separation of the radar signal and the synchronization signal.
