An in-vehicle control device includes a voltage conversion unit and a control unit. The voltage conversion unit includes a first switch and a second switch connected in series between a first conductive path and ground, a third switch and an element unit (for example, a fourth switch) connected in series between a second conductive path and the ground, and an inductor. The voltage conversion unit performs a discharging operation of turning the third switch on and off, interrupting a current flowing to the ground side through the element unit at least when the third switch is in an on state, and maintaining the second switch in an on state. The control unit causes the voltage conversion unit to perform the discharging operation when a discharging condition is satisfied.
