Abstract

A refrigerator appliance includes a cabinet that defines a chilled chamber and a freezer chamber. The refrigerator appliance includes a door moveably mounted to the cabinet and moveable between a closed position enclosing at least one of the chilled chamber and the freezer chamber and an open position providing access to at least one of the chilled chamber and the freezer chamber. The refrigerator appliance also includes a grille assembly that includes a grille coupled with the cabinet and a filter assembly that includes an upper filter disposed within the grille and an extendable filter coupled with the upper filter. The extendable filter extends outside of the grille.
